In Vila Franca de Xira, a municipality located in the central area of the district of Lisbon, you can find the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital.

This important health centre was opened in 1951, although it has grown over the years with the construction of new modern facilities. The Vila Franca de Xira Hospital is partly a historic building as it was built on the grounds of Santa Clara de Misericórdia. The state and the José de Mello Saúde Group have shared the management of the centre’s services since 2011. The Vila Franca de Xira Hospital is located in the northern part of the city. Near the centre is the Equestre da Lezíria Grande Centre, a park in which the visitor can enjoy going for a long walk or even a quiet read. This Park also offers a tour service to learn about the Equestrian Centre’s facilities. This Portuguese municipality also has another park, known as the Quinta do Cabo. In addition to its natural spaces, Vila Franca de Xira has a chapel known as Monte do Sr da Boa Morte. This town, which is bordered by Alenquer in the north and Lourdes in the south, is mainly known for its agricultural activity and its large fields. If you visit the area, you can find a Saba car park at the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital. This public parking lot has modern facilities and is available 24 hours a day.
