Where can I find parking near Matosinhos' historic center?
If you're arriving by car, the most convenient option is to park at one of the Saba parking lots, both just a few minutes from the center.
The Saba Marisqueiras P1 Parking, near Avenida Dom Afonso Henriques, is the most popular: it's open 24 hours a day, has covered parking, easy access, and online shopping options. You're in the center in less than a five-minute walk.
Another alternative is the Saba Mercado P2 Parking, next to the Municipal Market. Also open all day, it's modern, has good pedestrian access, and similar prices. Either option allows you to leave your car alone and explore Matosinhos on foot, without rushing.

Matosinhos Municipal Market — Colors, Flavors, and Local Life
Right next door, the market is a snapshot of everyday life. The vendors' cries, the freshly caught fish, and the restaurants tucked away among the stalls make it much more than just a place to shop: it's a lively and delicious experience.
Matosinhos Waterfront — A Stroll Between Art and the Sea
Walking along the waterfront is almost a must. At dusk, the sea takes on golden hues and the beach fills with walkers and surfers. Between cafes and terraces stands the sculpture “She Changes,” the enormous red anemone that has become a symbol of the city.
